The Heliofloat is a brilliant and highly advanced new flotation system, developed by a group of engineers and scientists working out of the Vienna University of Technology in Austria, that is designed to make it possible for floating solar panels to be deployed on even the heaviest and roughest of seas.

This floating solar panel system makes use of open-bottom floats that can withstand rough seas.
