The helmet makes use of all the same materials traditionally found in bicycle helmets, but incorporates a flipping design that will invert the top section into the unit. This will work to reduce the size of the helmet by 50% and actually make it suited for storage in a backpack or bag equivalent.
The Flip-Clip Go helmet is the design work of Newlane and is the winner of the Red Dot Design Concept Award for 2021. The helmet also maintains as much as 20 plastic bottles worth of recycled plastic in the construction.
