Flexible HPV Screening Options

Labcorp and Waters Expand Access to Cervical Cancer Testing

Labcorp and Waters Corporation are expanding flexible HPV screening options through a partnership that combines advanced virus detection with more convenient sample collection. The planned service will allow patients to access cervical cancer screening through healthcare facilities, patient service centers, or at-home collection, helping address barriers that prevent individuals from receiving recommended tests.

The BD Onclarity HPV Assay identifies six high-risk HPV types individually, alongside three grouped results, providing detailed information to support personalized risk assessments. Beginning in late 2026, Labcorp intends to introduce the FDA-approved test through its network of more than 2,200 patient service centers and 850,000 healthcare providers.

For Labcorp, the partnership could strengthen its women's health diagnostics offerings while reaching underserved populations. Waters may also benefit from broader distribution of its testing technology through an established nationwide laboratory network.
