Artsy Running Routes

'Figurerunning' Challenges You to Have Fun by Creating a Shape While Jogging

Exercising regularly can be tough if you don't have the right kind of motivation; enter Figurerunning. For some, traditional motivators like boot camps, gym memberships and trainers work. For others, a more creative path must be taken. Figurerunning provides that creative path, quite literally I might add.

At first I thought that Figurerunning might refer to a flamboyant type of running that involved a mixture of figure skating moves on pavement. Figurerunning is, however, an even more fun concept than that. Essentially, Figurerunning encourages you to create a shape with your running route. It could be anything from a letter to an animal. By making art meet exercise, Figurerunning truly inspires people to get off the couch and be more healthy and imaginative.

Figurerunning was conceived by Willempje Vrins and Leonieke Verhoog.
