CASC Whisky is bringing Ringbearer, a Lord of the Rings-inspired single malt made by New Zealand distillery Pōkeno, to the UK. The officially licensed release marks the 25th anniversary of The Fellowship of the Ring and celebrates the films’ connection to New Zealand, where they were shot.
Made with New Zealand-grown barley, the whisky has matured for at least six years, including time in casks seasoned with mānuka honey. The bottle is priced at £89.99 and will be available exclusively online in the UK, with deliveries expected between December 2026 and January 2027.
For those who want to try it before buying a bottle, The Lost Close in Edinburgh is the only venue in the UK serving Ringbearer, with film-themed tastings planned for January 2027. The release combines a collectible anniversary bottle with a limited opportunity to sample the whisky in person.
