Fan-Designed Sports Experiences

Velo and McLaren Turn Fan Ideas into F1 Experiences

Fan-designed sports experiences are turning traditional sponsorship campaigns into participatory activations shaped by audience ideas. Velo and the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team have launched a global competition inviting adult fans to submit their dream motorsport experiences. Selected concepts will be brought to life during the 2026 F1 season, with possibilities ranging from staying overnight among historic McLaren cars to designing merchandise or dining with team CEO Zak Brown. The campaign extends Velo and McLaren’s existing Live Your Fandom partnership by putting fan creativity at the center of the experience.

The approach gives sponsors a way to deepen engagement beyond conventional advertising by allowing audiences to influence campaign outcomes. User submissions can also generate social content and extend visibility throughout the racing season. For McLaren and Velo, personalized experiences can strengthen fan relationships while making the partnership more memorable and participatory.
