While many vegetarians may have made the choice to cut out red meat from their diet due to the rather grotesque blood that comes from it, Impossible Foods has proven that a fake meat product can in fact have all the qualities of a cut taken straight from a cow.
Based in the Silicon Valley of California, the food science company managed to create a fake meat burger patty that's entirely vegetarian, however it may require the waiters at David Chang’s Momofuku Nishi to do some convincing.
The chef's restaurant in New York is set to feature the fake meat burger patty on its menu, with David Chang voicing his support of the product by saying "I was genuinely blown away when I tasted the burger… the Impossible Foods team has discovered how to re-engineer what makes beef taste like beef."
