It provides people with a place to upload live and recorded video to share with friends and followers alike. Created using a standalone app, Facebook Videos is also a destination for discovering videos catergorized by topic instead of simply stumbling across them in the feed.
What looks like a great tool, Facebook Video also takes on Periscope with its Live feature. Unlike Periscope, live Facebook videos can be permanently saved for replaying instead of disappearing after 24 hours. Since "video ads are the hottest thing in marketing," according to Tech Crunch, this launch can mean big things for the successful social media platform. But only time will tell.
