'Face Maker' is the name of an augmented reality app for the iPhone X that uses the smartphone's 3D facial recognition technology, TrueDepth camera and the ARKit to introduce a next-level digital face-painting experience.
Within the app, users are able to use a variety of colors and brushes to paint virtual designs across their own face. To quickly reset the canvas, users need only look away from the camera to remove the work they have done so far.
Some of the other options available on the AR painting app include the ability for users to overlay their face with bold patterns, GIFs and even photos saved to the device's camera roll. The innovative AR painting experience promises to bring out one's inner artist without the mess or the need to pick up a physical paintbrush.
