The 2015 Fabulous Foodie competition inspired a lot of unique recipes, one of which involved coffee and steak. A perfect combination for many -- especially those who like steak with eggs in the morning -- the dish was created by Doreen Simpson. Marinated in coffee, the ribeye steaks were accompanied by gem lettuce, walnut and Gorgonzola dressing and pomegranate seeds for a well-rounded meal that looks as healthy as it does tasty.

Marinating in coffee from anywhere between an hour and overnight in the fridge, the ribeye steaks deliver a savory punch not often associated with this particular meat dish. Yet that's exactly what makes it stand out.
