The 2015 Fabulous Foodie competition inspired a lot of unique recipes, one of which involved coffee and steak. A perfect combination for many -- especially those who like steak with eggs in the morning -- the dish was created by Doreen Simpson. Marinated in coffee, the ribeye steaks were accompanied by gem lettuce, walnut and Gorgonzola dressing and pomegranate seeds for a well-rounded meal that looks as healthy as it does tasty.

This year, the Fabulous Foodie competition revolved around ingredients from Aldi, including its new and exotic Specially Selected range. Marinating in coffee from anywhere between an hour and overnight in the fridge, the ribeye steaks deliver a savory punch not often associated with this particular meat dish.
