FREITAG Lab Introduces the F707 STRATOS Airbag Design

Zurich-based bag brand FREITAG introduces the F707 STRATOS bag, which is a foldable lightweight rucksack that is made from discarded materials. It draws in wasted airbags and truck tarpaulins and is meant to be foldable and retains the original colors of white, light pink, and pale blue.

The brand talks about the rucksacks, stating that "Just like an airbag in a car, the airbag B-material that we used should be able to unfold as a backpack." It can be folded into a pocket and it is the first bag that uses airbag textiles as the main material. The brand also notes that they are familiar with recyclables from the street and this has been a new experience working with the airbag textile.
