'EMG,' a Dubai-based esports management organization, announced a partnership with the esports tournament organizer 'StarLadder.'
The two esports-focused organizations will collaborate on a series of esports tournaments and series taking place across the UAE. The current partnership begins in 2023 and extends through 2025, marking three years of esports tournaments in the region backed by the Emirates Esports Federation, a governing esports body.
Each tournament series hosted by EMG will feature various small tournaments across the UAE with the winning teams from each region competing in Dubai for the regional finals. The previous esports festival hosted by EMG took place at the Dubai World Trade Center, which was quite successful.
It is important to note that StarLadder has over 22 years of experience in the Esports space across countless popular titles such as 'CS:GO' and 'DOtA 2,' while EMG is a newcomer in the space, comparatively.
Despite this disparity, the two companies are hopeful for the future of esports in the UAE, with Darrach Campbell, the Management Director at EMG, stating: “With the games culture surpassing new boundaries every day in this region, we feel that our partnership with StarLadder is the key element towards developing an all-inclusive esports community in the UAE. We look forward to having StarLadder on board and creating larger and more frequent tournaments that will bring fans a new level of esports experiences.”
