This High-Tech Helmet Conducts EEG Tests to Detect Brain Injury

The EmerEEG is an exceptionally high-tech helmet, developed by a Norwegian startup that goes by the name Smartbrain, that is more than capable of detecting if the wearer has suffered a concussion or other form of traumatic brain injury.

This high-tech helmet essentially goes about conducting EEGs by virtue of an array of hard-wired electrodes that are attached to the patient's head. The resulting readings can then quickly and easily be studied and interpreted by a doctor.

One of the biggest problems with traumatic brain injuries is the fact that they are often not responded to immediately. This high-tech helmet's real-time monitoring makes it possible to take remedial action immediately, something that affects outcomes and could certainly help save lives.
