The Ellie Meyer 'Prufrock' Line Debuts in Australia

Perth, Australia’s Ellie Meyer created her debut fashion collection inspired by a T.S. Eliot poem, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, that explores the ways that humans are ‘pinned down’ and evaluated by social ideals.

Meyer’s ‘Pinned and Wriggling’ collection was displayed at the 2010 L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Student Showcase. The recent graduate of Curtin University of Technology has received acclaim throughout Australia for her designs, which play off of insect anatomy. She’s also created a collection of ‘bug brooches’ using fabrics from vintage garments.
