Elisabeth Buecher's design collection "My shower curtain is a green warrior" is a grouping of shower curtains that enforce shorter showers.
The first is a spiky shower curtain that inflates to push the user out when the shower exceeds 4 minutes. The second shower curtain, called "the trap" inflates slowly til it completely traps you at 4 minutes.
Definitely one way to enforce water conservation.
Implications - As society grows more eco-conscious, consumers are looking to conserve fuel and funds through various means. This satisfies their need to be self-righteous while also cutting down on personal costs. Industries can capitalize on this conservation craze and, in doing so, benefit the planet in the process.
