The Electricity Paper Vinyl art exhibit is fantastically futuristic. Although it revolves around the traditional art form of tapestries, there is nothing traditional about it. Instead, the pieces look like something that could grace the set of the new 'TRON' movie.
The tapestries in the Electricity Paper Vinyl art exhibit have been made using fiber optic fabrics, allowing them to emit a cool glow. Created by poster artist Daniel Buren, the artworks rely on his signature stripe aesthetic, which complements the lighting beautifully. Known as affichages sauvages, these stripes have been prevalent in society for some time now, even appearing on Hermes scarfs and at the vast interior courtyard of the Palais Royal.
The Electricity Paper Vinyl art exhibit is on display at the Bortolami Gallery in New York.
