Blue Bird has received over 100 requests for electric school buses. The company also already has some of its electric school buses operating in Californian, North Dakota, and Washington. The company will also make more deliveries in 2020, with deliveries scheduled for Colorado, New Jersey, New York, as well as Quebec.
The Blue Bird Corporation has three different models of electric buses available, including The All American RE Electric, the Vision Electric, as well as the Micro Bird G5 Electric. The Vision bus is able to transport 77 people, while the All American model can transport 84. Both of these models have a 120-mile range. However, the Micro Bird G5 model is only able to transport 30 people, with a range of 100 miles.
