The Israel Electric Corporation is working with car-sharing service provider car2go to launch an electric car sharing program in the city of Haifa. This particular collaboration will result in the development of 200 charging stations designed specifically for car2go vehicles.

The plan will also make it easier than ever for the public to access electric cars that they can rent by the hour. The service model will make it possible for drivers to pick up a car at one location and return it at any of the 200 charging stations located around the city.
