According to the 2018 Age UK Loneliness Report, there are 1.4 million older people who struggle with loneliness and 225,000 older people often go a whole week without speaking to anyone—but Cadbury is hoping to do something about elderly loneliness. To bring awareness to this issue over the next year, Age UK and Cadbury have partnered to create a limited-edition Dairy Milk bar that is completely wordless.
A portion of each chocolate bar sold will be donated to Age UK and people are encouraged to "Donte Your Words" to make a difference in an elderly person's life, even if it's something as simple as saying "hello" or asking "how are you?" Together, Cadbury and Age UK are sharing tips like checking in on an older neighbor, calling an older relative or even spending time volunteering with Age UK.
