The 'EDC ONE' Bag by Adam Savage is both Beautiful and Practical

Former Mythbuster and gear-obsessed designer Adam Savage recently collaborated with the San Francisco-based company Mafia Bags to create the Savage Industries 'EDC ONE.' The sleek and stylish bag is constructed from upcycled, and salvaged boat sails giving it a slightly broken-in look and ensuring that every bag is unique. The handles of the bag are held together by magnets providing a satisfying click when both handles are met. The bag was inspired by Savage's previous utility bag as well as the McDivitt purse used by the Apollo astronauts that first landed on the moon.

The most noticeable detail of the EDC ONE isn't in any of its features, but rather in the intense shade of white it comes in. Savage explained this choice as something both utilitarian and aesthetic. The pure white bag is meant to patina and age over its time, and is meant to oppose the hyper-masculine designs of most EDC bags. The all white design is also used to ensure that tools and small items could be easily located as they would stand out better on the white backdrop.
