The medical field has recently been experimenting with different technologies to assist doctors, one of which has resulted in the ED-7270 Robot.
The ED-7270 Robot is a nifty little droid that makes the life of a doctor a little easier. It can remotely sense a patient's blood pressure and pulse, and sends all the updated information to the hospital. The robot does have conversation capability, which can be beneficial to patients when families are unable to visit. This particular feature also allows the droid to remind patients when to take their medication.
Currently, the ED-7270 Robot is being tested as a pilot project in senior and nursing homes in Australia. Hopefully, it will make its way to the rest of the world soon.
