EcoloBlue is an atmospheric water generator that quite literally makes drinking water out of thin air. The generator extracts water from the humidity in the air, purifies it and stores it for drinking—to the tune of about 7 gallons a day with the home/office model.
The entry level EcoloBlue costs $1,350, which is comparable with a water cooler system. Unlike these systems, however, there are no gallons to purchase or exchange, so you don’t waste resources. TreeHugger estimates that over the course of the year, most families can save about $365 by ditching bottled water in favor of the EcoloBlue.
