Designer Bonaguro Giorgio set out to conceive a simple light fixture that would be stripped back to the basics in terms of its assembly. But what was done with the Easy Table Lamp is something more elaborate than the initial intent and has produced a piece with a charming character and versatility.
The illuminator is made up of a three-part wooden arm with LED lights embedded in one end and the electrical wires fed though its spine. The bottom branch of this component can be slotted into the stand below to elevate the light source and keep it steady. The composite plinth of marble powder and resin was sculpted to form a thick but shallow dish, acting both as support and a small bowl for storage.
The Easy Table Lamp was followed up with a floor lamp and a chair, constructed to the same structural and aesthetic theme.
