The Earth’s Hatch kit reimagines a welcome gift with practical home tools through a purpose-driven design created for Lotte E&C that centres utility and everyday use. Packaged in a birdhouse-shaped container, the kit includes five egg-shaped magnetic objects that each serve a specific function in the entryway of a home, such as holding keys, access cards or sorting tags and housing a ceramic-blade box cutter for opening packages. The rounded eggs are made from recycled plastic and sized to fit comfortably in the hand while keeping essential items visible rather than hidden in drawers.
The birdhouse package itself transforms into a refillable tissue holder once the contents are unpacked, with a circular opening that lets users see when supplies are running low. Vegan leather accents contrast with the eggs’ stone-like texture, and the magnetic feature simplifies installation on metal surfaces near doors or storage zones.
