On April 22nd, Toronto's Mill Street Brewery will celebrate Earth Day with an event called 'EarthBall 2016.' The event not only aims to raise awareness about pressing environmental concerns, but it also celebrates the work of influential environmentalists.
EarthBall 2016 will take place at the Mill Street Beer Hall on EarthDay itself. The event will celebrate the past, present and future of Earth Day in Canada by honoring the work of more than 400 business and environmental leaders. In addition to a VIP reception and silent auction, guests will also be treated to a keynote from David MacDonald, who is a Special Advisor for the Truth & Reconciliation Commission. They will also have the opportunity to enjoy gourmet dishes by Chef Michael Stadtlander and music by MC Rick Miller, Kidoons and his band Trainwreck.
The event provides a way to raise awareness about ongoing environmental issues, while also celebrating the work of those currently fighting for environmental change.
