Juxtaposing Texture Architecture

The Eagle Bay Residence by Zorzi South and Paul Jones is Elegant

The Eagle Bay Residence has a certain elegance to it that will impress any visitor. Located right by the beach in Australia, the abode comes equipped with all of the luxuries one would want while relaxing on a balcony overlooking the ocean. It even has a cooling room!

The interesting feature about this structure is the juxtaposing materials used. Much of the house comes clad in a timber material, giving the house a cozy and cabin-like feel. However, touches of concrete are also placed throughout, contrasting this look with a more industrial-inspired touch.

According to The Contemporist, the house was the "winner of the 2014 Master Builders Association South West Home of the Year and six other awards for construction excellence." Just looking at the photos it's no wonder the abode did so well.
