MIRA Safety, an Austin, Texas-based household technology company, announced the 'DTX-1' ultrasonic food purifier. The DTX-1 is a handheld chef-grade food purifier that uses both ultrasonic waves and rapid oxidation to release and dissolve contaminants in food. The company touts that the DTX-1 cleans foods roughly 20x more effectively than simply using water.

On MIRA Safety's official Indiegogo page for the DTX-1 the company offers multiple graphs that showcase real-world tests of food stored with and without use of the DTX-1. These charts show that the DTX-1 results in significantly less contaminants and significantly larger shelf life, not only resulting in cleaner, healthier food, but also in savings as the food will last longer.
