Double-dipping is often considered a critical faux pas and Philadelphia Dip's Double Diptector bowl will be sure to call out any uncultured individuals. Put up for auction on eBay, the unique double dip detecting bowl is part publicity stunt and part charity act. The proceeds garnered from the auction will raise money for hunger-relief charity Feeding America. The auction is only available for US residents and the winner will also receive a smartphone running the accompanying app to monitor the Double Diptector bowl.
To catch double dippers, the bowl comes equipped with a motion sensor and a pressure sensor that pairs with a smartphone camera. These sensors help determine the difference between a single dip and a double dip. The bowl will then sound an alarm through the app and snap a photo of the culprit for shaming purposes.
