Galia Weiss' Dog Harness Concept Provides Relief for Dogs with Hip Dysplasia

This dog harness by industrial designer Galia Weiss is a concept developed to aid with comfort and ease of movement for dogs that have hip dysplasia. Even healthy dogs can suffer from this problem that affects the hip joints, caused by the abnormal development of the ball and socket joints.

Weiss' Hipster Harness design prevents joints from disconnecting, and instead, strengthens the hip muscles to keep all of the joints where the should be. In addition to making mobility more comfortable on a daily basis for dogs, it's expected that the prolonged use of this harness will actually lessen hip dysplasia over time. The design is made from a washable fabric with multiple straps that can be adjusted to suit dogs of different sizes.
