These DIY Halloween pumpkins are a great no-carve alternative to the traditional jack-o'-lantern. The 'Fair Goods' craft demonstrates the step-by-step process of coating a pumpkin with chalkboard paint and decorating the pumpkins with typographic Halloween-themed stencils.
On one of the pumpkins, an orange-colored chalk was used to fill in the stencil, which creates the illusion that the pumpkin was covered with a sticker before it was coated in paint. These would make beautiful centerpieces and festive additions to doorsteps. Even though they're not illuminated, these designs are quirky and something different to see.
Giving kids chalkboard paint-covered mini pumpkins of their own to decorate seems like way more hours of fun than a traditional pumpkin carving.
