This decadent DIY dessert pizza brings together the traditional cinnamon roll, adds crunchy pecans and presents it in an eye-catching pizza pie display. This easy recipe lets you enjoy the best of both worlds -- pizza and dessert.
To make the gooey dessert, start with cooking some pecans with butter over the stove and let them sit. In a mixing bowl combine six tablespoons of unsalted butter, three quarters of a cup of brown sugar and a dash of cinnamon and vanilla then set that aside as well. Next combine a bit of cinnamon and flour to dust a 16 ounce-sized plain dough and roll it into a pie-shape. Top your dough with the butter, sugar and cinnamon and then sprinkle your pre-made pecans and gently press them in.
This delightfully sweet DIY dessert pizza is ready in 15 minutes after baking in the oven at 350 degrees. After it cools, you can slice it up and dig in.
