Lyft is Giving $10 Off to Specific Rides for Black History Month

Everyone loves a discounted ride and during Black History Month, on-demand transportation company Lyft is allowing $10 off for trips to black history museums, memorials, as well as black-owned businesses.

The honorable initative is made available in cities across the United States and Canada. Not only does this campaign push knowledge and awareness of the annual observance, but it also promotes tolerance of minority groups — 73% of Lyft drivers in Toronto identify as part of one.

For the discounted rides, individuals can use the code BHMTO19 in Toronto. Eligible destinations include the Art Gallery of Ontario — which is presenting the Mickalene Thomas' collection that explores black women's presence in art and culture, the Mackenzie House which is connected to publishing, as well as the Harbourfront Centre's Kuumba event series.
