The Diodon drone is an inflatable and waterproof drone designed to be both rugged and easy to transport. It was created by a French company called Airvada and will be offered in three specifications. The specs differ in terms of camera size allowed (from GoPro up to a 3.3-pound stabilized camera) and flight time (20 to 35 minutes). No matter the spec the Diodon drone will be easy to store and assemble. Its body is waterproof and the arms supporting it inflate in about a minute via an included air compressor.
Since the body is waterproof and the Diodon drone floats operators can fly it in all types of weather and terrain. The inflatable arms also ensure that hard landings won't damage the arms, although there is a chance that they could tear and deflate. Airvada has not yet announced pricing or availability for its drone.
