The DigiTruck is a mobile, solar-powered digital classroom that is designed for use in remote and rural communities in Africa, where the lack of infrastructure means many kids end up not going to school or going to very poorly equipped ones.
This innovation gets around that by using solar panels that are capable of powering the space for several days at a time, making them ideal for use in areas that have no access to the electricity grid. In addition to being used as classroom spaces, the DigiTruck can also be used for community training initiatives, clinical projects and to simply provide people with access to the Internet.
The DigiTruck is a fine example of using the wonders of solar power to give people living in remote regions access to education and healthcare.
