Planted has unveiled a new sustainable food truck that the plant-based meat brand will be using for a tour across the UK to serve up consumers some delicious eats in a decidedly eco-friendly manner. The truck is a Mercedes E-Sprinter Van equipped with four solar panels on the roof that relay energy to the lithium battery system inside. The vehicle is thus capable of maintaining an emissions-free functionality and coincides with the brand's commitment to SO2 reduction with its products.
UK Marketing Manager Olivia Sinclair spoke on the sustainable food truck saying, "At Planted, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, so creating the UK’s most sustainable food truck to bring our delicious plant-based products to the nation was a no brainer. The plant-based category is still very much unknown for many consumers, hence sampling is a big part of our activity this year, after all, taste is king!"
