Empowering Senior-Focused Frameworks

Digital Medicine Society Pioneers Tech-Enabled Aging at Home

Digital Medicine Society — also known as DiMe — has initiated a collaborative project with the Consumer Technology Association and a coalition of industry partners. The partners aim to create a structured framework to support elderly individuals who wish to continue living in their own residences.

The aging at home initiative seeks to address common obstacles to independent living, such as safety concerns, care coordination, and the integration of digital tools. Digital Medicine Society's project development is aligned with recent federal priorities that encourage the use of technology to enhance care for Medicare recipients. The intended outcome is a set of practical resources — including implementation guides and policy suggestions — designed to ensure that digital health solutions are interoperable, evidence-based, and centered on the needs of the older adult.
