Eugeria and Partners Present a Clock & Smart Pillbox System

— July 12, 2025 — Art & Design
The collaborative initiative involving Eugeria, the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, and the Centre de recherche de l’Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal (CRIUGM) introduces an innovative approach to supporting older adults in home care settings through the integration of a connected clock and smart pillbox system.

This technology aims to enhance medication adherence by combining visual and auditory alerts with automated dose dispensing. The connected clock and smart pillbox system also incorporates remote monitoring capabilities that will allow caregivers to track medication intake in real time via a web portal. Motion sensors detect interactions with the pillbox, providing additional verification that doses have been taken as prescribed.

By addressing common challenges such as forgetfulness and mismanagement of medications, Eugeria's solution seeks to promote greater independence among seniors while offering peace of mind to caregivers and healthcare providers.
