Wild Capture and the XR Foundation Launch the Digital Human Platform

Wild Capture, a creative studio specializing in performance capture and volumetric technology, has announced the launch of Digital Human Platform, a new multifaceted solution designed to help brands develop digital humans, volumetric crowds, and CG fashion for media and web-based deliveries.
The new platform will offer a variety of volumetric tools that will enable creators to execute high-concept creative projects including XR filmmaking, holographic displays, and various metaverse applications. A key feature offered by the new platform is the Universal Volumetric (UVol) web streaming player, which was developed in partnership with the XR foundation. UVoI is a cross-platform, open-source framework for a web-based volumetric video that can be used for the playback of digital humans in virtual environments (e.g. watching holograms on a smartphone).
