South Korean consumer electronics company Astell&Kern is looking to well and truly shake up the entry level end of the digital audio players market with the introduction of the A&norma SR25, a gadget that promises a compact, lightweight and high-performance audio package for a price of only $749.
As far as audio and connectivity features are concerned, the A&norma SR25 digital audio players certainly deliver, boasting a substantial 64 GB of storage with the possibility of expanded space using microSD cards. Elsewhere, a quad-core central processing unit allows for speedy operation, while Bluetooth connectivity allows for lag-free playback. Despite its unabashedly entry-level tag, this audio player still offers premium features such as the ability to adjust volume across tracks.
Set to go on sale in early November, the A&norma SR25 is part of a clear strategy by Astell&Kern to make a dent in the growing budget audio player space.
