Nick Jonas stars in the new ad for the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring Service -- a device that serves those living with diabetes. In addition to being a pop star, Jonas is one of the few celebrities living with Type 1 diabetes. Having received his diagnosis in his teenage years, the singer and Disney channel star actively uses his voice to raise awareness for the disease.

In the ad, Jonas details his journey with diabetes, and chronicles his experience using the very device that he is promoting. In a statement regarding the campaign, Jonas said “I try to be transparent because I feel like I’ve got a really special opportunity to be a recognizable face for both young people and older people who live with this disease and show that it is possible to live a normal life".
