Dexcom has unveiled an exciting new addition to its continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) lineup with the launch of Stelo, an over-the-counter (OTC) CGM biosensor.

Dexcom has specifically designed Stelo for individuals with type 2 diabetes who do not require insulin therapy. The device is a compact, wearable sensor built on the advanced G7 platform, offering a 15-day usage period. Stelo is equipped with a software interface tailored to meet the needs of non-insulin users, making it a highly specialized tool for managing glucose levels.

The introduction of Stelo aims to simplify access to continuous glucose monitoring for those who might otherwise face barriers due to lack of insurance coverage or other challenges. The system will be sold at pharmacies across the U.S.
