The new SCP Autumn/Winter line of design collaborations is launching at the London Design Festival 2013, featuring exciting contributions from designers like Lucy Kurrein, Reiko Kaneko, and Mark McGinnis. The collection is comprised of pieces that can stand alone, or can be used in conjunction with one another. For example, Kurrein contributed a table set made up of a low, light oak table and a taller, more colorful steel counterpart. These pieces do make a dynamic duo, but they can also be used on their own.
Another collaborator, Donna Wilson, has created a spunky collection of patterned knit beanbags, as well as cushions, pillows and throws. Other pieces in the collection are simple and geared to being more effective; for instance, stools with an indentation for more comfortable seating, and coffee tables that are slanted to one side to better fit in with other furniture.
