Del Taco Debuted a Crunchy Beef Taco Named After the Brand Itself

Del Taco recently debuted a brand new taco named after the brand itself. With a nod to the brand's original taco recipe created back in the 1960s, the new dish is sure to appeal to consumers looking for a little taste of nostalgia.

The new dish is called 'The Del Taco' and it is described by the chain as "a bigger, fresher, and better-tasting crunchy beef taco, worthy of the brand's name." The dish itself is meant to replace the brand's Double Beef Classic Taco by offering consumers more seasoned ground beef, more freshly-grated cheese, chopped tomatoes, lettuce and a crunchier corn shell. Consumers also have the option to substitute seasoned turkey for the beef at no extra charge.

With many brand's looking to tap into their roots, The Del Taco serves as a perfect example of nostalgia-focused branding.
