Odor Protection Subway Takeovers

Degree and New York City MTA Transformed Three Subway Stations

In the summer, public transit becomes the scene of deodorant horror stories—whether they involve people who seemingly skipped odor protection altogether or weak formulas that don't hold up in the heat—so Degree and New York City MTA transformed subway stations. As part of the ad campaign, three major MTA subway stations were renamed with custom ads designed in the classic mosaic style, reading "Boiler Room," "Molten Core" and "Sweat Central" to represent West 4th, Union Square and 34th Street-Herald Square stops, respectively. Degree also invited Reddit's community to submit their own heat-inspired station nicknames based on their daily commutes and experiences, and creative submissions will be featured across social and OOH ads.

Beyond the renamed stations, Degree distributed limited-edition Degree Advanced antiperspirant sticks with a Tap To Pay code redeemable for one free subway ride.
