Designed to conflict with the overtly traditional aspects of watch design, the Defy Classic Black Ceramic is a new timepiece from Zenith that embraces a blacked-out design and stealthy stylings. The new blacked-out watch is part of Zenith's Defy collection, with the Classic Black Ceramic being the early teaser before the official SIHH 2019 showcase.
As the name suggests, the Defy Classic Black Ceramic is constructed from ceramic. However, unlike traditional timepieces, this watch utilizes a tough black zirconium oxide ceramic, which offers a modern and forward-looking design. The ceramic construction is paired with a geometrically symmetrical open-worked dial to create a complicated look to the fairly simple three-hand watch with a day date.
