'KFC Japan' is now offering deep-fried salmon fillets for those who are looking for an indulgent seafood dish. While it is not unusual for fast food restaurants to serve seafood, these establishments generally offer more traditional species of whitefish. This indulgent new dish offers a more gourmet option for seafood enthusiasts.
The new deep-fried salmon fillets are part of a cross promotion with 'Sanrio.' To promote the new dish, Sanrio designed a cartoon character named 'Kirimi-chan,' who happens to look like a salmon fillet. The cartoon is designed to resemble the new dish, which consists of a salmon fillet that has been deep-fried. The fillets are available individually or on a roll with the addition of lettuce, basil sauce and tartar sauce.
