The Daring Dean Potter Moonwalk Defies Gravity

Filmed by Michael Schaefer for the National Geographic ‘The Man Who Can Fly’ project, the Dean Potter Moonwalk video shows a man who seems hell-bent on killing himself, performing an amazing feat of gravity-defying proportions.
First, Dean Potter climbs a cliff at Cathedral Peak in Yosemite, to reach a high-lining rope pulled taught between two peaks. All the while, the moon is looming huge in the background, making it seem as though it is right next to the mountain. As Potter makes his daring walk across the rope, the moon seems to follow him, and illuminating him in silhouette as he steps in front of the large lunar surface.
The video was captured in stunning resolution, the scenery is breath-taking, but nothing beats the fearlessness of the Dean Potter Moonwalk.
