In the 'Silenced to Death' infographic created by the Committee to Protect Journalists, the deadliest countries for journalists to travel to and report from are documented so that these injustices do not go unnoticed.
Currently, Iraq holds the title of most journalists killed on the field with 151 deaths since 1992. Many were covering issues that they felt passionate about and that they regarded as important for the world to know more about. Topics such as politics, war, corruption and human rights are a few of the most dangerous to cover, all ranking in above crime stories.
In most of the deadliest countries for journalists, the murder suspects are government officials which is why only 5% are brought to full justice.
