The Dalian Public Library proves that literary huts can be given a futuristic overhaul in order to keep them around for just a little bit longer. Just because people are finding digital spaces and e-reader technology more convenient doesn't mean that they won't take the time to visit a library, especially if it looks like an impressive spaceship.
Designed by Architects Collective, the Dalian Public Library is located in China. The goal is for the Dalian Public Library to become a landmark within its city while also striking up a relationship with the surrounding ocean and bay. According to Plusmood, it will become a "symbol for the creative and environmentally friendly future of New Pulian."
