Gosha Rubchinskiy's Spring/Summer 2018 Embraces Russian Culture

Renowned Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy dropped his second streetwear capsule for Spring/Summer 2018, featuring items from his own fashion collection, as well as his collaborative adidas football clothing designs with Cyrillic logo renditions. From psychedelic tie-dye long-sleeve shirts to classic Slavic-inspired tracksuits, the fashion line stands out with its simplicity, color palette and vintage sportswear silhouettes.

The theme of the Spring/Summer 2018 collection is best described by "rave culture." Gosha Rubchinskiy deliberately puts the spotlight on Russian values by incorporating Cyrillic logo remixes of both adidas' and his own branding. In doing so, the designer injects a certain Slavic component that grabs the attention of the public with its foreign design and deliberate re-representation of a well-known global brand like adidas.
